Cricklade Millennium Souvenir Coin

Cricklade Millennium Souvenir Coin

Price: £2.00

DESCRIPTION: There are only a handful of these coins left and are offered here for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

"In Loco Delicioso" – In Lovely Surroundings. 2000 years ago Cricklade bordered the wild territory of the Dobunni people. The Romans came and went. From the Dark Ages that followed emerged the beginnings of a united England. King Alfred built defended towns to beat the Danes – of which one was Cricklade. The tumultuous 1000 years that followed left the town relatively unscathed and unchanged: still in lovely surroundings and a happy, safe place in which to live. This coin, in an encapsulated sleeve, is a link with the past – an actual copy on one side of a Saxon penny struck at the Cricklade Mint about 1000 AD and today's town crest on the other.

POSTAGE: U.K £0.75p; Europe £1.25p; Rest of World £1.50p. This includes postage & packaging with board backed envelopes.
